The 9th Itchen South (Woolston Methodist) Sea Scout Group was founded in 1956. It is Royal Navy recognised and the Sea Scouts are part of the Scout Association which was started in 1907 by Lord Baden-Powell.

The Group is made up of four sections led by adult and young leaders who are all volunteers

	Beavers meet Thursday 5:45pm - 6:50pm Ages 6 - 8 Leader: Acorn (Robin)
	Cubs meet Wednesday 6:30pm - 8:15pm  Ages 8 – 10 ½ Leader: Pauline
	Scouts meet Tuesday 7pm – 9:00pm Ages 10 ½  - 14 Leader: Andy
	Poseidon Explorers meet Monday 7.00pm - 9.00pm Ages 14 - 18 Leader: Nigel

All sections meet in at the Woolston Methodist Church, Manor Road North, Woolston, Southampton with the Sea Scouts and Poseidon Explorers meeting at the Group boathouse at Crosshouse on the River Itchen during the boating season from Easter to September
